Training Manager is a role model for each staffs in the hotel.
The training manager has to know about their employees, it is because to help their employees to make best use of their own abilities and it is the method to assist employee's to become more professional at what they are do.
With the motivation of the training manager, the employee's can learn how to performing well and understand properly in receiving an information.
The purpose of this motivation is to assist every employee in the hotel industry to find out how importance of staff training.
In the hotel industry, the employee's doesn't' realized of the staff training, the hotel could be in a bad situation if the employee's do not take training seriously.
It is because hotel line most focused to the guest, so if the training manager never provides a fully training and motivation to them this will down the business of the hotel.
The level of service quality depends on the qualities of employee's.
The qualities are about the knowledge, skills and thoughts which lead to a hotel survival and development.
Train the staff also motivates and inspires workers by providing employees all needed information in work as well them to recognize how important of training.
Training a staffs is the key task to help every employee's in the hotel industry to be more professional.
So from the observation that had been conduct in IXORA HOTEL SDN BHD that situated at Jalan Baru, Bandar Perai Jaya, its shows that only the HR (Human Resource) department is giving a good help for the staff if they not performing well and unable to understand properly in receiving information and complete their task it is because in the Ixora hotel there are no training manager provided.
So what will this department do is, firstly they will identify the problem that the employee having.
So for this case the human resource department will talk to the particular staff personally about their understanding and communication during a working hour either the employee can listen or having a language barrier when the human resource department does a briefing among all the staffs.
Secondly is the source its mean, statement or information.
The human resource department will give some information regarding their working style such like if they not performing well, the new staff will attendant for training within a few days while the staff that working as a permanent also will sent for conduct the training in case if they not performing well, unable to receiving information and complete their task.
In the Ixora Hotel, there are two types of training that they provide which is internal and also external.
Internal training means that the human resource department will train the staff in house and for external they will sent the staff for outside training.
Beside this, the human resource department also will do competencies for an internal training.
Its mean they will come out with a proposal and sent it for the attachment to the HOD (Head of Department) regarding of their staff issues.
So the head of the department will do a planning of its staff before give them in house training.
For an external training if the staff still couldn't follow the human resource information, then the department will train equipment between them and the Ixora hotel.
So for this issues the human resource will let their boss know about their training given to the staff and after they receive an information from their boss, the human resource department will sent the staff for training for a few weeks but before do an external training, the human resource department will sign the training attendance form and will keep in the fail all the time when the staff going out for a training.
Other than internal and external training, the human resource department also will taking an action if the staff still giving a same issues such as the staff not performing well, unable to understand properly in receiving an information and complete their task.
This sentence is support by a human resource department during an observation in the Ixora hotel.
Action that they will take is the staff needs to pay back the training fees.
The amount that the staff should pay is depending on the training that they had conduct.
For those who having a misconduct or problem, the human resource department will come out with the misconduct form.
They will issue out a letter of showcase to ask explanation of the particular staff.
If the staff did not reply, the management will come out with a punishment strictly.
There are four steps of punishment, which is provide a warning letter, down grade its mean the posting that the staff holding will down, will suspend from work for a two weeks and lastly will do a termination.
If the explanation returns later on, the human resource department needs to do a domestic enquiry with the particular staff.
Furthermore the staff will not expect after the termination and only half years than the management will take the staff for work again in their hotel.
This information is support by the human resource department during an observation.
So in each organization if there is no training manager, the human resource department will conduct all the staffs by giving a good training for them.
A good management will preparing their staff in proper way by lead their employee, monitor their staff all the time by grading the staff performance, come out with a realistic solution and creativity , will analysis the results of the problems and lastly will analysis the results and move ahead with a new problems.
For creating a good management team can be a bit more of a challenge in the hotel line, but if the management have their own responsibility within the organization and the staff so no issues will be happen and by this the management can easily conduct the employee and will run their business and task with smoothly.

When hear the word leader, all of us will think about the leadership style.
It is because a leadership style is a leader's style of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people.
There are many different leadership styles that can be exhibited by leaders in the political, business or other fields but the main are autocratic, bureaucratic, democratic and lassies- faire.
The authoritarian leadership style or autocratic leader keeps strict, close control over followers by keeping close regulation of policies and procedures given to followers.
To keep main emphasis on the distinction of the authoritarian leader and their followers, these types of leaders make sure to only create a distinct professional relationship.
The Bureaucratic leadership styles, the leader supplies complete concern for his followers or workers.
Workers under this style of leader are expected to become totally committed to what the leader believes and will not strive of and work independently.
This style will always follow the rules and regulation like a policeman.
The Democratic leadership style consists of the leader sharing, the decision-making abilities with group members by promoting the interests of the group members and by practicing social equality.
However, the democratic style of leadership still requires guidance and control by a specific leader.
The democratic style demands the leader to make decisions on who should be called upon within the group and who is given the right to participate in, make and vote on decisions and lastly is the laissez faire.
Laissez faire style is sometimes described as a "hands off" leadership style because the leader delegates the tasks to their followers while providing little or no direction to the followers.
Laissez-faire leaders allow followers to have complete freedom to make decisions concerning the completion of their work.
It allows followers a high degree of autonomy and self-rule, while at the same time offering guidance and support when requested.
The laissez-faire leader using guided freedom provides the followers with all materials necessary to accomplish their goals, but does not directly participate in decision making unless the followers request their assistance.
A good leader uses all this styles, depending on what forces are involved between the followers, the leader, and the situation.
Anyone can be a leader that has the willingness and drive to achieve that goal.
Traits can be changed or reduced by focusing upon the more desirable traits and then using them to overpower the unhealthy ones.
From this all of us know that there are no perfect leaders.
All of us only have a few unhealthy traits.
But the better leaders concentrate on and grow their desirable traits so that they over-power their weaker traits.
Some people seem better equipped for leadership but some of them will think that they can be a leader in areas where they feel a sense of passion and investment.
The aspiring leader needs to have a great degree of self-awareness and introspection if they wanted to be a leader.
The aspiring leader needs to know where its interests truly lie.
A leader needs to understand their inherent strengths and weaknesses.
They need to know where they will be capable of growing, and which structures, systems, and environments will best support their development.
Not only this, but a leader must has an effective leadership style also.
Effective leadership demands a captain of the ship, not just someone who's standing by the helm.
Leadership is active, not passive.
Effective leaders have many common qualities.
Good group leaders make an effort to learn and practice skills so they can listen openly to others, offer and accept constructive suggestions, give clear directions, give formal and informal presentations, help members identify and solve problems, set an example of desired behavior, show appreciation of others' contributions, show understanding, encourage members to exchange ideas, handle conflict, guide the group in goal setting and decision making, delegate responsibilities, ask questions of the group to prompt responses and create a productive atmosphere.
Other than this, for becoming a leader, a leader should have some requirement such as the heart of a leader - a deep desire to improve the world around them, perhaps at great personal risk or cost, a deep desire for knowledge and truth.
Leaders are readers, a leader will read a book regularly, before watching TV, a leader must be willing to listen to others, he or she must have the ability to accept criticism and to alter their behavior when necessary, courage to face themselves when they look in the mirror, a good leader will learn to face his or her demons and to work to get rid of them, perseverance - to continuously improve their skills and to go beyond their comfort zone, commitment to excellence and a very strong work ethic to improve their leadership.
Not only this but, a good leader also must have a flexible leadership and also must coach or motivate their own self before becoming leaders.
Its mean a flexible leader is a leader who has the ability to use all the various leadership styles which they choose depending on the situation and coach here means that cares about, pays attention to and works with the people in their care.
A coach essentially will understand the work their protégé do is more important in the long run than what they can accomplish alone in their limited time.
They put coaching either first or at least very high on their priority list.
They don't complain about the time it takes.
The role of a coach is to extend the productivity of their team and each of its members so together they accomplish more than anyone, including the leader, could do alone, so the time is more than worth it in the end.
Coaching is the primary work of an effective leader.
So as a leader the flexible leadership and coach are the main part to becoming a professional leader within the organization.
By this to bring over their leadership styles, every leader should has a good vision such as a vision of the future, the ability to encourage followers to jump into that experience (work through the many changes that are required to achieve that vision), a self-improvement for themselves and their followers, this will makes them good coaches and mentors and empowering their followers to get things done (delegates), a good communication skills with others, self- study, having a perfect training skills, knowledge, a good personality and more.
A good leader should also learn how to become a leader.
They should be able to manage "things and processes" as well as interact effectively with the people who make up the work unit or organization, a good leader adopts a leadership style that lends itself to ethical consideration for example transformational and adaptive style which will follow the decision making process with its organization, has the motivation to prevent the harm to anyone, ensures a safe place of work for staff, will respect for the law and regulations, objective, fair and reasonable, take responsibility of themselves as well as others action, will act with conviction, provide clear direction, and also will discharges of a duty of care to customers, clients and staff.
Other than this, leader should be able to do the hands-on work on the ground level, while simultaneously thinking from the perspective of the larger system.
Great interpersonal skills are important for a successful leader.
So again, anyone can become a leader because, leadership can be learned.
It depends on nature and nurture.
Leadership can exist at any level, with or without formal authority.
Most people are both leader and followers.
They "lead from the middle." Leaders depend on and are partly shaped by followers.
There are "autocratic situations" and "democratic situations," normal and crisis conditions, and routine and novel crises.
Good diagnosis of the need for change (or not) is essential for contextual intelligence.
Leadership for crisis conditions requires advance preparation, emotional maturity, and the ability to distinguish the roles of operational, analytical, and political work.
The appropriate mix of styles and skills varies with the stage of the crisis, but the conditions need to be right.
The aspiring leader's success depends on their present knowledge and skills.
Even more importantly, they depend on the combination of who they are, what they want, what they can create, and what will support them.
Becoming a leader takes a deep awareness of internal and external realities, dynamics, and possibilities, as well as the desire and ability to constantly learn and grow.
Effective leaders envision what they want and how to get it.
They habitually pick priorities stemming from their basic values or Inspiring Display confidence in all that we do.
By showing endurance in mental, physical, and spiritual stamina, we will inspire others to reach for new heights.
Take charge when necessary or intelligent.
Lastly in point of view, I think that leadership is a sole function of the mind, how matured a leader can covey processed ideas and innovations from their mind to reality.
So those who say that they are born a leader in there explanations but they should also consider that the environment, right education, access to information, real to cause a change and parental influence in the development of leadership qualities.
