Most of the company that very care about the quality of the product, because quality can be satisfied the consumer; therefore the top manager may be strong in the production line and the engineering department. Because this both department can be develop the quality product at the same time the production department if produce lager quantity the company also can be achieves economic of scale. In this perception, if the company without the human resource, therefore the company will hire the wrong person in the organization, therefore this may cause the company product quality may not efficient. Moreover, to change this perception to the top manager, the company must think about the employee health and safe due to their job. Therefore the HR needs to provide to safe and health to the employee and try to make the employee feel happy with the firm. Moreover, human resource also provides the consultancy to the employee, in the work place that may have some of the issue duel to the employee face. In this way the HR can be very effective to settle down all those managing dispute or the employee problem in a professional and proficient manner. Other than that, the HR department also has to make the policy and regulation during the employee job; this can be settling all the conflict in the organization. If the top manager has think about all those this issue for their employee the business will running most effective to the firm.

1.2 Human resource cannot build up company brand

The brand image for every company is very important, because the brand can be loyalty by the consumer. Therefore, most of the top manager will hire the marketing department, because they need the entire marketing person to hell the company builds up the company brand image. This is because when the company brand is good, then the profit of the company automatic will be increase, because the consumer have loyalty and trust to the brand. This is because the HR department cannot do all those marketing job to the company and the top manager also may feel the HR department is the no productive department. But the top manager never think about the human resource is important also, when their need to build up the company brand, the marketing department also need to have the experience and skill to develop the marketing plan. And also if less care about the human resource department the company may also does not know about the employee skill and experience level is until which level and whether the employee need send to training or not. Therefore in change this perception; the top manager should be hiring the HR department also, because the human resource can be helping the firm to selecting and recruitment to hiring the best employee at the same time the HR department also participative in business and marketing decision.

1.3 Human resource cannot increase company profit

Human resource department they main responsibility is just help the firm organize company employee and all the resource and budget. Most of them the top manager have the perception if the which department can help the firm gain the company profit and the manager will most focus on that department. Because all the company will be thinking running the business the most important is can get more and more profit for the firm. Therefore the top manager will less focus on the human resource department. And the top manger is never thinking what is the reward and recognition can give the employee to increase the employee motivation. If the employee has motivation to do the job in the company, therefore the human resource department has linking to the company to achieve the company profit also.

Furthermore, changing this perception for the top manager that must be think the HR can be helping the top manager do a lot of thing, the human resource can be doing R&R reward and recognition to the employee such as the firm purchase some electrical good to the employee would they like, therefore the employee also may feel recognition and will be more motivation due to the job.

1.4 Benefit of the firm

Most of the firm nowadays has never care about their employee and the relationship for the employee is not very well also. Every firm that also need to have the benefit by their own company, therefore the top manager has always ask the employee do a lot of job by the firm, at the same time the top manager also has always ask the employee achieve the sales target for company. Therefore, all this job asking by the manager and the firm will be have the great benefit. And the top manager is care litter for the human resource department only, therefore the top manager never give the employee benefit and allowance. So, this can be cues the firm decreases the firm benefit because the employee is not satisfied for the company. Furthermore, if the top manager have care the human resource department, and try to analyze the job for the right person to right job and this will be very effective for the firm.

Other than that, in this perception for the top manager, the manager should be given back some benefit to the employee due to the position is higher. The HR department can be given the employee long term paid that is employee share optional plan and that entire bonus, at the same time in this method the company also will be reduce the turnover rate for the employee. Because the HP department has plan those entire bonus and benefit to the employee, therefore the employee also may loyalty for the company also.

1.5 Human resource cannot expand the firm

Human resource that is one department is no productive and that also cannot help the firm to expand to multinational or international company, because in HR department that is no under the duty for HR, therefore most of the top manager may care a litter to the HR department compare to other department, because expand the company that can be achieve the competitive advantage, therefore the top manager will try to create the better strategy to expand the firm and make it to the international company, after that this is the reason way the top manager will less care in the human resource department. The top manager also does not think about the employee salary weather is fair to each other or not and which department is help the firm to manage all the resource.

Furthermore, the top manager have this perception for the HR department cannot be extent the company business, therefore the manager should be change this perception to think the HR positive way. The HR department can adjust the employee salary and all the salary is fair to each other and privacy, at the same time the HR also will help the firm reduce the salary payment that will select the part timer staff to do the certain job. Therefore this can be helping the firm to save a lot of salary payment and expenses also. Moreover, the HR also has to plan the orientation to the new employee and that can be make the new employee feel welcome and satisfied with the firm.

1.0 Introduction

In this assignment we went to get the application form from other company, and we have using the Focus Point Holding Berhad to explain about their job discretion and some of the information which they have in their application form. Furthermore we have used the application form to analyze all the application form data and their company job description. After we analyzed all the reliable data obtained from Focus Point Holding Berhad's application form and we have think of better way to improve the job description for their company, at the same time we have used other competitor company's job description for comparison. We used it to compare with Focus Point Holding Berhad and adopt the strength of other companies to overcome the problem of insufficient information in the job description of Focus Point. Besides we also used internet sources to gain more ideas on how to improve the job description of Focus Point Holding Berhad. Moreover, from the application form that we get, it enable us to know what are the basic elements that application form should have and easily detect the defects and the weaknesses of the form. We have improved and overcome all these weaknesses for the application form obtain from Focus Point Holding Berhad. At the end after we analyzed the application form we knew that there are reasons for the company to list down the element such as previous job references, salary needs, family background and etc.

In this section, there are two elements that needed to improve.

There is no emergency call available in the form. Focus Point has left out this important section. Every company should demands the extra call which able to directly contact with their family members or relatives. This is to prevent when the company encounter the employee accident occurrence or emergency situation and then doesn't know do a contact with who.

As for the health status showed at the form is difficult to measure, because they might not understand about the meaning of poor, average and good of the health status. Therefore, Focus Point should put in specific choices or just put a column over there to let them fill up what disease that they have.

2.2.2 Education Background

For this section, there is containing one of the columns like Name of School/ College/ University, but never mentioned that the applicant should write down the result of the applicant as well because it can save the time for Focus Point to check out the result of the applicant and also they have to add one more subtitle, which is Other Education, because some of the applicants might have some training on the other place. Other than that, in the column of Specialization, Focus Point did not indicate what it is because there is already has a column called Course Taking and it able to show what the applicants specialized on. Furthermore, the column of the Years, the applicant might not know that is the first year that they began their study life or the year of graduation.

2.2.3 Employment History

In the column of Total Salary, those applicants might do not know whether the salary is based on day, week or month because different job has different way to pays salary. Thus they have to indicate clearly. In additional, the space Reason of Leaving is too small, there is not enough for those applicants. Therefore, they should expand it.

For this section, Focus Point provided only two columns and state that the applicant has to provide at least two references. If the applicant wants to provide three references, then there is no space for them. Hence, Focus Point should state the sentence "provide two references" instead of "at least two", or else they should give one more blank.

In the question of asking applicant does he or her needs hostel? Focus Point should put the location of the hostel as well.

2.2.6 Extra Requirements

Just because of Focus Point has provided part time job, then they be supposed to add the info of Days and Hours Available, in order to arrange well for the employees. Furthermore, they should ask a question, which is "Why you want to apply this job?" in order to further understand what the applicants think, thus this is one of the ways able to get closer with employee.

For the requirements section, Focus Point stated that they need minimum SPM/STPM qualification, but as a branch manager, he or she should has minimum requirement of Bachelor's Degree because though the experiences able to cover it but they might lack of some extra knowledge. Experience can be gained but knowledge is difficult to build if without learning. Other than that, Focus Point only stated that the branch manager have to good in communication skills with three languages, but actually good in writing skill is important as well, this is because they would required to writing out the accurately report to the headquarters (HQ) in order to let HQ to do further decisions or changes. Besides that, they didn't mention about own transport that the branch manager supposes to has it, because it would cause inconvenience for the meeting with HQ, sudden case occurred in supplier and need to go over there by own to check it out, if without own transport.

3.0 Conclusion

In the Focus Point Holding Berhad, the job description and job application form of the company have some weaknesses; therefore we were looking for some new ways to improving it. We have come out with some solutions to improve some of the weaknesses in the job application form and job description as well. At first we analyzed the job description before we think about the solution to overcome the weaknesses. Other than that, we also used internet resources to search for other companies' job description for comparison and we have generated some data to improve for the Focus Point Holding Berhad.
