Examining The Relationship Between Religion And Science Philosophy

The relationship between Science & Religion, albeit a complicated one, is one that cannot be denied or ignored; it is one that exists and needs to be examined in order for them both to manage most effectively. This essay will examine these two different mind-sets/worldviews by using multiple sources, including John Brooke's Science And Religion: Some Historical Perspectives, Casey Luskin's Intelligent Design Theory, and Thomas Dixon, Geoffrey Cantor & Stephen Pumfrey's Science and religion: New historical perspectives. This essay will firstly address the concept and worldviews of Science and Religion, which will serve as a basis for the examination of the history of their relationship. New ways to tackle with the relationship will be mentioned in vain of the wrongly perceived notion of there being a ''battle'' between science and religion. This essay will try and support the notion that science and religion are more friends than foes.
